Recommended Diet Tips for Brides-to-Be

Just recently read through a wedding forum where one member started a thread about how to lose weight for her upcoming wedding in three weeks! Well, there are several crash diets out there but losing weight for your wedding should be ideally done in a span of six months. Regular exercise and a change in food choices will help the body to slim down gradually. But this process takes time. So if you want to keep that ideal weight, start early and avoid rebounding to your old size after the wedding. There is still that honeymoon to think about, after all.

Aim for a 2-pound loss per week so that you will be able to lose a total of 50 pounds in six months. Although it is a slow process, crash diets on the other hand have a failure rate of about 95% most of the time so it is better to lose weight slowly but surely.

Be mindful of what you put into your body. Avoid carbonated drinks and caffeine since they can cause your metabolism to slow down. Non-diet soda for example, contains 150 calories per can which easily adds up to thousands of pounds in six months. As for caffeine, it can induce excitement in the intestinal tract hence your digestive system will have difficulty processing food.
