Indeed, winter is a romantic time for engaged couples to become one, bind by commitment and love through time. The Christmas lights, fresh snow, shimmering hues of red, silver and blue – all of them gets the special celebration a notch higher. Plus, it means that there are no shortages of decoration ideas that can be incorporated for your special event including candles, snowflakes, tinsel, poinsettias, ornaments and the attractive Christmas lights. A winter wedding has endless possibilities and it is up to your imagination only on how you will get to complement everything together.
Gold and Silver
Similar to the Silver and Gold song, a wedding theme with the same colours is ideal because it ties all the elements of the holidays together. Hang beaded garland from the pews to accentuate the aisle and let silver beaded candles enhance the altar. Silver and gold ornaments can also be used throughout the wedding venue such as in carpet runners and archways. A white ballgown for the bridesmaids would surely fit the theme as it presents full, luxurious taste. Flowers can include white roses and calla lilies with glitter on the petals in shades of gold and silver, of course.
The warm glow from the fireplace is naturally romantic and so holding a wedding in a rustic cabin will all the more add to feeling of romance. The mantle can be enhanced with mini stockings where the names of guests are placed while one large stocking is where the name of the couple should be. To extend the fire’s glow of warmth, decorate the mantle with garland, holly and poinsettias complete with tall candles in between. The wedding gown should be of blush rose or champagne hue to complement the hearth theme.
